Lawrence A. Moorman

MOORMAN, Lawrence “Larry”, age 85, departed this life peacefully with his family by his side Tuesday, February 27, 2018. He was born May 17, 1932 in Nashville, TN to the late Lewis and Lillian Moorman. He was employed by Wright-Patterson AFB as an Electronic Engineer for more than 30 years of service. Preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Moorman; brothers, Sam, Louis and George Moorman. He leaves to cherish his memory a devoted and loving wife, Helen; sons, Vincent Moorman, Dayton, Marvin (Ellen) Moorman, Louisville, KY; daughter, Terri Lynne (Roger) Iriajen, Lawrenceville, GA; sisters, Fanny Sharpe, Ethel Hopkins, and Jennetta Donnell; brother, Horace Moorman; grandchildren, Taisia Moorman, Ryan, Nathan and DeAnna Iriajen; a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and many friends. Celebration of life will be held 11 am Thursday, March 8, 2018 at New Hope Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2000 Catalpa Dr. Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
