Joe Willie Jackson, Sr.

JACKSON, Joe Willie Sr., born in Rolling Fork, MS, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 18, 2017. He was a construction worker and equipment driver for over 30 years at Hilltop Basic Resources, then later, started his own business called Rene’s Deep Cleaning Carpet Service. He served as a deacon for over 20 years at Christ Holy Temple Full Gospel Baptist Church, faithfully giving of his time and resources. Preceded in death by parents, Georgia and Arthur Jackson; wife of 32 years, Irene Jackson; beautiful sister, Annie Mae Jackson Paul; brothers, Eli, Henry, William and Arthur Jr. Jackson. He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Irene (Charles) Wade; sons, Barry, Joe L., Joe W. Jr. (April) and Dominique Jackson; stepson, Jermaine (Keisha) Wilkerson; stepdaughter, Nicole Wilkerson; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Service 12 noon Tuesday, April 25, 2017 at United M. B. Church, 900 Lexington Ave. Rev. Leroy Cothran officiating. Interment Jeffersonview Cemetery. Visitation 9 am-12 pm. Family will receive friends 11 am-12 pm. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
