Jimmie L. Redic

REDIC, Jimmie L., age 81, of Trotwood, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord July 22, 2017 at Hospice of Dayton, after a short illness. He was born in Malakoff, TX to the late Henry Sr. & Ora D. Redic. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. He was a member of St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully as a Deacon for over 45 years, as well as being involved in numerous other auxiliaries. Preceded in death by his brother, Henry Redic, Jr.; sister, Ora D. Allen; granddaughter, Quana R. Watson. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Mattie L. Redic; children, Cedric (Lisa), Tamra, Ronald “Red” and Donald (Alesha) Redic; grandchildren, Lorenzo Bass, Jr., James and Jerad Redic, Sha’Nae Procter (Maurice Gay II), Jasmine and Bryce Redic; great grandchildren, Maurice Gay III, LaShaun Bass; sister, Daisy Allen; sisters-in-law, Margaret Redic, Edna Ross, Janie Walker, Betty Davis; brother-in-law, Rev. David Q. Marks, Jr.; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 28, 2017 at St. Luke M. B. Church, 2262 N. Gettysburg Ave. Pastor Ashton Allen of Mt. Carmel M. B. Church, Cincinnati, eulogist. Interment Dayton National Cemetery. Visitation 9:00-11:00 am. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
