REID, Florence Elaine, age 76, of Dayton, born January 17, 1942 in Richmond, Indiana, passed away Saturday, March 31, 2018. She retired from the Dayton Public School system after 25+ years of service. Preceded in death by her parents, William and Lucille Shuemak; son, Forest Darnell; daughter, Armanthua “Matt” Darnell; brothers, Charles, Carl and Rodney Shuemak, Robert David; sister, Diane Carter. She leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Mary (Benjamin) Rodriguez; son, Richard Shuemak; daughter-in-law, Twana Darnell; grandchildren, Leon Darnell, Sandy Monie, Tiffany Woods, Darrell and Matthew Boddie, Ivory Phillips, Ciara, Channtel and Cilontra Darnell, Matthew Deon Henderson, Forest Thomas; significant other, Abdeiouahed Khanjar; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 1 pm Saturday, April 7, 2018 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Min. Raleigh Thornton Jr. officiating. Visitation 10 am-1 pm. Family will receive friends 12-1 pm. Interment West Memory Gardens.
