Ethel L. Johnson

Johnson, Ethel L., 90, passed away April 3, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. Born September 11, 1927 in Liberty, Indiana and spent the majority of her adult life in Dayton where she worked for over 30 years at the Veterans Administration, and several years at the Bureau of Motor Vehicles after retiring from the VA. Preceded in death by her parents, John and Julia Collier; 7 brothers and 2 sisters; husband, Elmer Johnson; daughter, LaQuitta Skelton. She is survived by her son, Henry Franklin Johnson; grandson, Jamie L. Jr. (Sharon) Skelton; granddaughter, Tara C. Skelton; great grandchildren, Destin’e, Jamie III (Trey) and Julia Skelton, Troy Cantrell, Darrell (DJ) Daniel; devoted sisters-in-law, Mamie Mason and Teresa Gail (Joe) Davis; nephew, Michael Mason; a host of other relatives and friends. Service 11:30 am Thursday, April 12, 2018 at House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Visitation 8:30-11:30 am. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment Dayton National Cemetery.
