Cedrick Pitts

PITTS, Cedrick “Big 9”, age 62, of Trotwood, passed away March 7, 2018. Born July 25, 1955 in Opelika, AL and a resident of Dayton for 46 years. He was a member of Greater St. John Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his parents, Willie N. and Ella P. Pink; sister, Brenda Pitts-Okoye. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Sheila Alstork-Pitts; sons, LaQuailo Pitts, Jamaal Yancey, Denzel Cedrick (Carolynne) Pitts; daughters, Shantell M. Jewett, Cedrika J. Pitts; brothers, Derrick (Brenda) Pitts, Thomas L. Pink, Willie (Sherry) and Larry (Cassandra) Welch; sisters, Deborah (Timothy) Jackson, Robin Pink, Dornita (Lee) Harris, Vanessa Welch; 7 grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral service 11 am Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Greater St. John M. B. Church, 4200 Germantown Pike. Pastor Lloyd D. Hayes officiating. Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am.
