SPICER, Cecil USAF 2^nd Lt. (Ret.), age 91, born February 15, 1927, the fifth child, to the late Edward C. and Allie Lee (Crawford) Spicer, departed this life peacefully April 12, 2018 at Hospice of Dayton. He grew up on Rural Rte. 33, Greenville, Ohio and was a longtime resident of Dayton. A veteran of the U. S. Air Force, with 25 years of service, he served his country well as a member of the Tuskegee Airmen, WWII, Korea and Vietnam. He received two Bronze Stars, WWII Victory Medal and a Good Conduct Ribbon. Preceded in death by his son, Keith Spicer; brothers, Roy, Dewey, and Russell Spicer; sister, Freida Hall. He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Aaron G. Spicer of Kansas, Cecil “Duke” and Jacqueline Spicer of California, Evelyn Rosa of Philadelphia, Brenda Sampson and Deborah Atkinson of Atlanta, GA, Robert and James Atkinson of Dayton; brother, Edward Perkins (Adore) of Cincinnati, OH; sisters-in-law, June Spicer of Greenville, OH, Emily Spicer of Cincinnati, OH; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends. Memorial service will be held 1 pm Monday, April 23, 2018 at the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave. Calling hour 12 noon at which time family will receive friends.
