Brenda A. Blackman

BLACKMAN (Crapps), Brenda, 62, born August 30, 1955 to the late Charles Crapps Sr. and Mattie Fourt, went home to be with the Lord February 28, 2018. She graduated from Dunbar High School and worked for the Bureau of Nursing Arts for over 20 years. She was married to Thomas Blackman Sr. Preceded in death by her stepmother (who raised her), Preattie Crapps; brother, Charles Crapps Jr. She leaves to cherish her memories her sisters, Preattie C. Crapps, Isabeth (Melvin) Morris, Regina Crapps, Christine Willis; brothers, Larry, Eddie and James H. Crapps; stepson, Thomas Blackman Jr.; niece, Terrionna Crapps; great nephews, Amari and Michael Crapps; special friends, Johnny Wilkerson, Monica Williams; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and friends. Funeral service will be held 11 am Saturday, March 10, 2018 at Apostolic Lighthouse Church, 2221 Harshman Rd. Rev. Carolien Smith, eulogist. Visitation 9-11 am. Family will receive friends 10-11 am. Interment West Memory Gardens. Arrangements entrusted to House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc.
