Annie C. Wood

WOOD, Annie C., age 93, of Dayton, Ohio, born August 8, 1924 to Rev. J. D. and Bessie R. Dunson, departed this life August 29, 2017. She graduated from Honey School of Cosmetology, and worked for Dayton Press for twenty years. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of Mt. Enon Missionary Baptist Church until her death. Preceded in death by her husband of 70+ years, Rev. Mark Wood, Sr. She leaves behind: daughters, Anita (Larry) Jackson of Dayton, Catherine Ferguson of Indio, CA, Shirley Sanders of Trotwood, OH; son, Mark A. Wood Jr. (Sharon) of Upland, CA; 10 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; three sisters and one brother; a host of other relatives and friends. Service will be held 11 am Friday, September 15, 2017 at Mt. Enon M. B. Church, 1501 West Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Way. Pastor Cory J. Pruitt, officiating. Interment West Memory Gardens. Visitation 9 am Friday at the church until time of service. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Arrangements entrusted to the House of Wheat Funeral Home, Inc., 2107 N. Gettysburg Ave.
